The Main Components of the Jaw Crusher

Rack

The frame is a four-wall rigid frame with upper and lower openings, which is used to support the eccentric shaft and withstand the reaction force of the crushed material, which requires sufficient strength and rigidity, generally cast steel as a whole, and small machines can also use high-quality cast iron instead of cast steel. The frame of the mainframe needs to be cast in sections and then firmly linked with bolts to form a whole, and the casting process is complicated. The frame of the self-made small jaw crusher can also be welded with thick steel plates, but the rigidity is poor.

Jaw Plates and Side Guards

Both fixed and movable jaws consist of a jaw bed and a jaw plate, which is the working part, fixed to the jaw bed with bolts and wedges. The jaw bed of the fixed jaw is the front wall of the frame, and the movable jaw bed is suspended on the circumference, which must have sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the crushing reaction, so most of them are cast steel or cast iron parts.

Transmission Parts

The eccentric shaft is the spindle of the crusher, which is subjected to huge bending torsion and is made of high-carbon steel. The eccentric part must be finished, heat treated, and the bearing lining is poured with babbitt. The eccentric shaft is equipped with pulleys at one end and flywheels at the other end.
