Recently, some customers have purchased our Raymond mill for recycling fertilizers. For example, Mr. D, a customer in South America, has SSP (single superphosphate), TSP (triple superphosphate), KCL (potassium chloride powder), MAP (monoammonium phosphate), etc.
After fertilizer granulation, our customer Mr. D received substandard fertilizer pellets, such as 1mm powder or 1-6mm particles. These particle sizes do not meet market requirements, as some are too large or too small. If the size does not meet the standard, it is discarded, wasting resources.
Therefore, the customer wants to collect these fertilizers and grind them again to 80 mesh powder to obtain the best fertilizer powder.
Raw Material: Fertilizers (TSP, SSP, KCl, MAP, etc.)
Feeding Size: <5mm
Output Size: 325 Mesh
Production Capacity: 15-26t/h
Passing Rate: 95%
Mill Model: MGW175
Location: Latin America
Since this is the first time the customer has used a Raymond mill to process fertilizers, unforeseen technical challenges arose during commissioning:
During the grinding process, certain types of fertilizers tend to become sticky due to the heat generated by internal friction. This causes the material to adhere to the surfaces of the mill components, obstructing the flow and affecting the operational stability of the system.

We installed an additional auxiliary fan at the top of the classifier. This fan directs airflow directly toward the rotor, preventing sticky particles from accumulating on the blades. This device can be kept off when not grinding sticky materials.

At MR, the integrity of your investment is our priority. Therefore, we implement high-precision logistics processes: our operations staff applies strict safety and protection measures during loading to prevent any type of damage, dents, or scratches that could affect the operation or appearance of machinery parts. Throughout the entire packaging and container loading process, we have dedicated personnel exclusively responsible for taking comprehensive photographic records. These images are sent to the customer in a timely manner for their peace of mind and monitoring. The visual record allows us to verify piece by piece, ensuring that the shipment is complete and that there is no omission of components or accessories before the container is sealed.

After receiving the incident report from the customer, our after-sales service engineer based in Latin America immediately coordinated a technical session with the head office. Thanks to the extensive experience of our engineering team, a customized technical solution was developed promptly. This responsiveness allowed the customer to minimize downtime, ensuring productivity and operational efficiency.

After the successful resolution of the technical challenges, the customer has placed absolute trust in MR. The immediate response from our team strengthened the business relationship, leading the customer to formally express their full satisfaction with the quality, robustness, and performance of our machinery. The customer has confirmed their plans to acquire a second, larger-scale grinding line with us, and this new project reaffirms their intention to establish a long-term partnership with MR.
