12-13tph Raymond MGW175 Mill For Grinding Calcium Oxide

The Raymond MGW175 mill was delivered to a customer in South America for the fine preparation of calcium oxide powder. This customer processes lump calcium oxide as a raw material, with a particle size controlled below 30 mm. After grinding with the Raymond mill system, the final product consistently achieves a fineness of 200 mesh. Previously, the customer’s production line frequently produced excessively coarse or fine calcium oxide particles, hindering their direct use in downstream processes and leading to resource accumulation and waste. Following the introduction of the Raymond MGW175 mill, these low-quality materials can be reprocessed into 200-mesh calcium oxide powder, effectively utilizing waste resources and improving production efficiency.

Project Information

Problems and Solutions

Problem 1:

When the Raymond mill is in operation, the highly fluid calcium oxide powder causes uneven material buildup, resulting in severe vibrations in the mill body.

MR Solution 1:

For highly fluid materials, the MR Raymond mill features optimized designs in its grinding roll assembly and blade system: a reinforced cantilever structure for the grinding rolls and a high-damping shock-absorbing base, combined with dynamic balance correction technology, effectively absorbs the impact force generated by an uneven, instantaneous material flow. Simultaneously, an intelligent control system is introduced that monitors the current and vibration values of the main unit in real time, automatically adjusting the feed rate to ensure a stable material layer within the grinding chamber. For vibration-sensitive conditions, a hydraulic energy storage and damping system can be optionally added to further suppress high-frequency vibrations and ensure long-term stable equipment operation.

Problem 2:

Calcium oxide dust tends to adhere to the inner walls of pipes and cyclone collectors, causing blockages or reducing collection efficiency.

MR Solution 2:

To address the adhesion problem, the inner walls of the pipes in the MR Raymond mill system are mirror-polished to reduce the likelihood of dust buildup. The cyclone collectors are designed with anti-clogging tapping devices or automatic pneumatic hammer cleaning systems to periodically clear accumulated material from the inner walls. The pulsating baghouse dust collectors utilize oil-resistant, waterproof, and antistatic filter bags and are equipped with a high-pressure pulsating backwash system to ensure the bag surface does not become scaled or clogged, thus maintaining high collection efficiency over the long term.

Equipment Delivery

The MGW175 unit shipped on this occasion underwent meticulous packing and container loading under the supervision of MR’s quality control team. During the shipping process, we reinforced key attachment points and added anti-collision materials to vulnerable surfaces to ensure that all components arrived at the customer’s facility in optimal condition.

Customer Comments

We had previously purchased a Raymond mill from another factory, but that equipment was of very poor quality: it didn’t meet our production requirements, and the reactivity of the final product was also poor. This severely impacted our production and caused us many difficulties.

Therefore, during our communication with the MR team, we were very worried that we might encounter the same problems. However, MR was very patient in explaining the causes of those issues, providing us with solutions one by one, and also informing us that they would send engineers to our plant to guide the installation. They told us that if any problems arose, we could contact them at any time. This was very reassuring and put our minds at ease.

And the reality has been exactly as they said! Our equipment has been operating for over three months now without any problems. The production and the fineness of the product are exactly what we wanted. Excellent!
