Alumina is a white crystalline powder with high hardness, high melting point, chemical inertness, insulation, and high thermal conductivity.
The customer required the alumina to be ground to 325 mesh with an 80% passing rate. This powder is suitable for applications such as refractory materials, traditional ceramics, and general abrasives.
After multiple rounds of communication and comparison with various suppliers, MR’s Raymond mill, thanks to the high-quality materials used in its body and accessories, resolved the customer’s concerns about excessive hardness and grinding difficulty, thereby earning their trust.

During the pre-project communication with us, the customer repeatedly emphasized that their material, alumina, is extremely hard and difficult to grind, so the quality of the mill's materials was one of the customer's main concerns. MR explained to the customer the differences between the materials used in the key parts of our mill and those of other manufacturers' mills as follows:
Other Manufacturers’ Raymond Mills:
45-round steel, quenched and tempered
Steel plates are manufactured by rolling or other forming processes, and their manufacturing process may not involve plastic deformation or steps to eliminate internal defects. Steel plates are typically flat steel rolled in flat rolling mills, and their mechanical properties and structure are not as optimized as those of forged parts.

MR MGW Raymond Mill:
Forged parts, 35CrMo quenched and tempered
Forged parts have a denser structure, higher strength, and longer service life. They are manufactured through the forging process, exhibit better mechanical properties, and are often used to produce parts with high strength and load-bearing requirements.

Other Manufacturers’ Raymond Mills:
65Mn
65Mn has lower wear resistance and impact resistance than NM400.

MR MGW Raymond Mill:
NM400 wear-resistant material
NM400 has higher wear resistance and impact resistance than 65Mn, and its service life is twice that of conventional materials.

Other Manufacturers’ Raymond Mills:
Without or with thin air duct protection plate.

MR MGW Raymond Mill:
With thick air duct protection plate.

Other Manufacturers’ Raymond Mills:
Acero aleado 65Mn y otros

MR MGW Raymond Mill:
Mn13Cr2, super wear-resistant

Other Manufacturers’ Raymond Mills:

MR MGW Raymond Mill:
Much thicker and more wear-resistant.

During the delivery process, MR strictly executes the shipping plan to ensure that no customer equipment is omitted. In addition, during loading, not only are the equipment units secured, but key parts are also wrapped with an additional layer of protective film, further ensuring that the goods arrive in perfect condition.

During project installation, MR will assign engineers to participate in and supervise the entire installation process, ensuring its proper progress. In addition, the customer’s installation team will be trained to ensure normal operation and daily maintenance of the project in later stages.

We asked the customer for their evaluation of this project, and they expressed that the alumina grinding production line is running smoothly, and that MR’s engineers have resolved all issues that arose during the project.
The customer also highlighted that the quality of this Raymond mill is excellent, especially in the components mentioned above, whose materials are very good and have high wear resistance.
In the future, the customer will start other projects and will choose other MR equipment for their purchases.
